Andreas Riener is a professor of Human-Machine Interaction and Virtual Reality at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) with a co-appointment at the CARISMA Institute of Automated Driving (C-IAD). He conducts hypotheses-driven quasi-experimental research in HCI with a focus on future mobility concepts. As part of the DATIpilot funding directive, Riener’s team is carrying out an innovation sprint in the field of inclusive mobility. He is a steering committee co-chair of ACM AutomotiveUI and ACM SIGCHI German chapter chair. He has co-organized several workshops at Mensch und Computer, CHI, and AutomotiveUI.
